There are a lot of changes that happen in middle school and high school. Different groups of friends begin to form. People start new relationships, new activities, and begin to have new priorities. With all these things going on, friends can get left out or left behind.
The feeling of being left out can come out of nowhere, develop over time, or happen occasionally. If your best friend starts dating someone, it’s natural that they will spend less time with you and more time with their bf/gf. This can be frustrating and even hurtful at times.
If you feel like you are being left out, it’s important to talk to the other person and tell them how you feel and how you would like things to be different. They may have no idea, or they may have been leaving you out intentionally. If the friendship has come to an end, it will hurt, but know that you will make new friends and find relationships of your own.
