The We Choose! project is an opportunity for your class to come up with their own Internet empowerment message! Class projects may be submitted to textED.ca and selected projects will be posted in the Showcase section of the textED.ca website.
How it works:
Example: We Choose More Privacy!
Have your class film a skit about how all the technology around them gives others access to their most personal details. Then have your students show us how they can reduce this - maybe they want to increase all their privacy settings and make their passwords harder to crack?
Tell your class to be creative! We're sure they can come up with innovative ways to regain control!
The Canadian Centre is encouraging teachers to participate in the We Choose! project. Classes are tasked with creating their own internet empowerment message and submitting their projects to textED.ca. Selected projects will be posted on the textED.ca website. The intention of having grade 7 students participate in the project is to encourage them to critically think about their own online safety and share that message with other youth visiting www.texted.ca.

*In order for the projects to be posted on the textED.ca website, a release form must be completed for each project participant. Please submit the release forms with the project.
